Brick Chimney Maintenance
Brick chimney stacks are no longer as common but, where in existence, require careful inspection to maintain overall structural stability.
External brickwork needs to be regularly examined to determine any movement to bed joints, cracking, fissures and general deterioration of mortar.
Internal sectional refractory of brick work linings require replacement and remedial repair.
Gas seals between corbel set-backs require periodic inspection and any necessary repairs following this.
